Feeling ‘trapped’? How is that NYE resolution to change the situation going?

Many of us had little or no guidance when it came to choosing our jobs or career path.
Maybe we were fortunate to have a school career counsellor but most likely we are very different people now from the person we were at 16-18 years old.
Other considerations may now exist that were not present when you made your initial career choices.
Values are important when considering career choices but often overlooked. We are far more likely to find happiness in our work life if we are doing work that aligns with our values.
Most of us do not consciously consider our values but it is often very helpful to consider what it is that will make us excited to get out of bed every day and show up at work not just physically but also mentally.
Do you want to feel excited about the work you do?
I’m sure we’ve all had times in our lives where work becomes a mundane and we feel like the Walking Dead as we head off to work wearing our “lead boots” each morning. The inner dialogue is more in the world of “I have to go to work” rather than “I want to go to work”.
As we spend the majority of our time at work, we can make a HUGE life improvement by actively seeking work or a vocation that feeds our personal values, matches our personality and what makes us happy.
I have been working with clients for several years to identify their highest values, discover what main personality traits they have and match them with various occupations. I also help with initiating your research to establish what (if any) further education may be necessary and where to obtain that education.
An investment of less than $300 (around 5 individual sessions) costs less than a weekend away and can get you started on your road to freedom from boredom or feeling ‘trapped’ at work.
What are you waiting for?
What is holding you back? We can also talk about that........
