MY STORY

Meditating on the Beach_edited.jpg

When the world became an entirely different place due to COVID, I took the opportunity to train as a counsellor and life coach.

The experience was life-changing and has brought real purpose to my life.

Drawing on my own life experiences and knowledge, I strive to create an atmosphere of warmth and acceptance that makes it easy for you to share your thoughts and feelings. Whether you are dealing with anxious thoughts, depression, or just a feeling of uncertainty, I'm here to help you move forward, gain insight, and find ways to be your best self.

I understand that life is not always easy, and that everyone has different experiences that shape their individual perspectives and emotions.

I've helped clients experiencing challenges with blended families; alienation; separation and divorce; coping with the mental health of a loved one and neuro-divergent issues such as ADHD and executive functioning.

I focus on solution-based therapy and will often use Cognitive behaviour therapy ("CBT") and Gestalt theory techniques in my work with clients.  My goal as a counsellor is to equip clients with tools that they can use long after our sessions are complete.  I walk with you (at your own pace), on your journey of healing and self-discovery.

I see my work as a counsellor and life coach as an opportunity for me to give back.  That is why my rates are reasonable and affordable and offered at "non-profit" rates.  I know that there is a lack of affordable coaching and counselling in our community and want to reach out to those that I am able to help.

My life interest and hobbies include paddleboarding, attending live music events and taking care of my grandchildren.  I am also a  Board Member and volunteer counsellor with Citizens' Counselling.

I hope that you will allow me to be part of your journey.  Contact me today to schedule an appointment.
